PRE-COMPET SWIM AND DIVE
Welcome young athletes! Pre-Compet Swim and Dive is for five to six year olds. The goal of Pre-Compet Swim and Dive is to expose these children to the excitement, fun and team atmosphere of Hallbrook’s Swim and Dive Program, while strengthening swim and dive techniques.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
- In order to participate in Pre-Compet Swim, swimmers must be able to safely swim half to full length of the pool and be pool safe.
- In order to participate in Pre-Compet Dive, divers must be able to jump off the diving board and safely swim to the ladder.
PRACTICE SCHEDULE
Pre-Compet begins Monday, June 1st and concludes on Friday June 26th
• Pre-Compet Swim is 11:00 - 11:30 a.m. Monday - Thursday.
Fun Meets are on Fridays (June 5, 12, 19, 26) from 11:00 - 11:45 a.m.
• Pre-Compet Dive is 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday. Fun Meets are on Fridays (June 5, 12, 19, 26) immediately following the Pre-Compet Swim Meets
WHAT IS A FUN MEET?
Swim and Dive Fun Meets are a great opportunity for young swimmers and divers to display all of the techniques they learned during the week in a friendly, fun atmosphere. Invite the whole family to cheer on these swimmers and divers as these “Meets” are the highlight of their week.
WHAT YOUR CHILD NEEDS
- Please have your athlete arrive to practice in a swimsuit of their choosing, with goggles and a towel. Towels are not provided by the club during Swim and Dive practices. Divers will not be allowed to wear goggles in the dive well.
- A Hallbrook team suit is not required for Pre-Compet Swim and Dive.
- Cost is $175 (total) for the program.
